Costs of the 3G iPhone

I have decided to write a review on the costs of the 3G iPhone, just to give you some of my thoughts and some info you may not know. First off let me start off by saying the whole thing is a scam. Don't know what im talking about? Well as you may or may not know the first gen iPhone started out at 599 but soon had a price drop to 399, now they have released the 3G iPhone starting at 199. Seems reasonable huh? Nope. This is a typical "Apple" move, they make people pay for something and by the time almost everyone has one they release something better and the add says "Twice as Fast, Half the Price". Im not complaining about that, i know thats how you make money.
Now the scam part of it. The scam is that they make you think its cheaper when its really not. Let me explain, my iPhone was $400 and I pay(well my dad pays) $20 a month for the internet, visual voice mail, and 200 text messages, all in one package. And thats not including minutes. Ok now on the new 3G iPhone its $200 for the phone, and $30 a month which includes, edge & 3G, visual voice mail, and gps. Notice anything different? no text messages included. Plus you have to pay for the minutes also. So basically you are paying less for the phone(so it seems like a better deal) and paying more a month. So in the long run its not a better deal.
I mean don't get me wrong your getting a lot for your money but the price is just outrageous to me. I will still probably end up getting one but I wont be happy about how much we're paying. There are some other things that you can pay for with the 3G iPhone but im not going to include them in this review. I may do more post about them later. Well i guess that about raps up my thoughts.
